6. Cookies and similar technologies
We and our service providers, including Shopify, use cookies, pixels, tags, local storage and similar technologies.
These technologies may be used for:
-
essential website functions, security, checkout and remembering your basket;
-
remembering your preferences;
-
measuring website traffic and performance;
-
understanding how visitors use the website;
-
personalising content; and
-
measuring or delivering advertising.
Strictly necessary technologies may operate without consent where the law permits. In the UK, EEA, Switzerland and other regions that require consent, we will not use non-essential analytics, personalisation or advertising technologies unless you accept them.
You can accept, reject or customise non-essential technologies through the cookie banner or privacy-preferences control on our website. You can return to that control to withdraw or change your consent.
Your browser may also allow you to block or delete cookies. Blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the website or checkout from working correctly.
Information about current cookie categories, providers and durations should be displayed in our cookie preferences interface.
7. Email and other direct marketing
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by:
-
selecting the unsubscribe link in any marketing email;
-
changing your customer-account preferences, where available; or
-
emailing contact@glorydaysclo.com.
Withdrawing from marketing does not affect service communications needed to fulfil an order, respond to you, administer an account or provide a requested alteration, repair or guarantee service.
If you opt out, we may retain a minimal suppression record so that we can respect your preference and avoid contacting you again.
We do not purchase marketing lists for consumer email campaigns.
8. When we share personal information
We may share personal information with the following categories of recipients where reasonably necessary.
Shopify
Our website and ecommerce operations are hosted by Shopify. Shopify processes information needed to provide the storefront, checkout, account, security and ecommerce services.
For certain Shopify services, Shopify may process personal information for its own stated purposes. You can learn more through the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy and exercise certain Shopify-specific choices through the Shopify Privacy Portal.
Payment providers
Payment providers, banks and financial institutions process payments, refunds, fraud checks and payment disputes.
Delivery, fulfilment and customs providers
Couriers, postal operators, fulfilment partners, customs brokers and customs authorities may receive your name, delivery details, contact information and information required to transport and clear an international shipment.
These providers may include DHL, Royal Mail, Parcelforce and other local or international delivery partners selected for your order.
Marketing, analytics and technology providers
We may use providers that assist with email marketing, analytics, advertising, attribution, customer accounts, reviews, website functionality and customer support. These may include Klaviyo, Meta, Google, WeTracked and Shopify-connected applications where those services are active.
Their access is limited to information reasonably needed to provide the relevant service, subject to applicable agreements and privacy requirements.
Professional advisers
Accountants, tax advisers, insurers, lawyers, auditors and other professional advisers may receive information where needed to provide their services or protect our legal interests.
Fraud-prevention and security providers
We may share relevant information with providers that help verify payments, prevent fraud, secure accounts or investigate suspicious activity.
Public authorities
We may disclose information where required by law, court order, customs requirement, tax obligation or a lawful request from a regulator, police force or other public authority.
Business transactions
If GLORYDAYSCLO LTD is involved in a merger, investment, reorganisation, financing or sale of all or part of its business, relevant information may be disclosed to professional advisers and potential counterparties subject to appropriate confidentiality and data-protection safeguards.
We require service providers handling personal information on our behalf to protect it and use it only for authorised purposes.
9. Shopify Network Intelligence
Where Shopify Network Intelligence or another Shopify Enhanced Service is enabled, Shopify may use customer and device information from our store together with information from interactions with other Shopify merchants to provide features such as improved personalisation, store performance, fraud protection and advertising measurement.
Where consent is required, this processing will not be used for non-essential purposes unless you have accepted the relevant cookies or technologies.
You can withdraw consent using our cookie-preferences control. You can also use the Shopify Privacy Portal to learn about Shopify’s processing, withdraw consent or object to Shopify’s use of information for relevant Enhanced Services.
10. International transfers
GLORYDAYS is based in the United Kingdom and ships internationally. Our service providers may process personal information in the UK, EEA, Canada, United States and other countries.
Where personal information is transferred outside the UK or EEA to a country that is not recognised as providing adequate protection, we use an appropriate safeguard where required. Depending on the transfer, this may include:
-
the UK International Data Transfer Agreement;
-
the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses;
-
the EU Standard Contractual Clauses;
-
an applicable adequacy decision; or
-
another legally recognised transfer mechanism.
We also assess providers and use contractual, organisational and technical safeguards appropriate to the information and risk.
You may contact us for more information about the safeguards used for a particular transfer. We may provide a redacted copy where necessary to protect confidential or commercially sensitive information.
11. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including legal, tax, accounting, security, dispute and guarantee requirements.
Our general retention approach is:
-
order, invoice and transaction records: normally at least six years, or longer where tax, VAT, customs or legal rules require it;
-
records falling within an applicable VAT One Stop Shop record-keeping obligation: up to ten years;
-
alteration, repair and lifetime-guarantee records: for as long as reasonably needed to administer the requested service or verify the product and guarantee;
-
customer-account information: while the account remains active and for a reasonable period afterwards, except where linked transaction records must be retained longer;
-
customer-service and complaint records: for as long as needed to resolve the matter and manage potential legal claims;
-
marketing information: while you remain subscribed and normally for up to 24 months after your last meaningful engagement, followed by deletion or anonymisation where it is no longer needed;
-
marketing suppression information: for as long as reasonably needed to ensure we continue to respect your opt-out;
-
fraud and security records: for as long as reasonably necessary to protect our services and manage potential claims; and
-
cookie and analytics information: for the period identified in our cookie-preferences interface or the applicable provider’s settings.
When information is no longer required, we delete it, anonymise it or securely isolate it until deletion is possible.
12. Automated checks and decisions
Shopify, payment providers and fraud-prevention providers may use automated tools to assess transactions for fraud, security or payment risk. These checks may affect whether a payment or order is accepted, held for review or declined.
Where applicable law gives you a right to request human review of a decision based solely on automated processing that has a legal or similarly significant effect, you can contact us at contact@glorydaysclo.com.
13. Your privacy rights
