FREE ALTERATIONS
One of the nice things about making the clothes ourselves is that we can actually adjust them for the people wearing them. If an inseam, sleeve or length needs changing, just tell us — the alteration itself is free.
Everything is handled here in our Leeds studio by the same small two-person team making the garments, so your request isn’t being sent off to a separate alterations company.
HOW TO USE THE ALTERATIONS TAB
ADD YOUR PIECE
Choose your normal size and add the garment to your cart.
OPEN ALTERATIONS
Open the Alterations row in the cart drawer before checkout.
TELL US WHAT YOU NEED
Add the measurement or simply explain how you would like the fit adjusted.
WE'LL CHECK IT
Checkout as normal. If anything is unclear, we'll email before we make the piece.
ALTERATIONS QUESTIONS
WHAT CAN YOU ALTER?
The most common requests are trouser inseams, sleeve length and overall garment length. We can also make smaller fit adjustments on certain pieces depending on how the garment is constructed.
If you’re not sure whether something can be changed, just ask before ordering. Because the garments are made here in the studio, we can usually tell you pretty quickly what is and isn’t sensible.
DO I NEED TO KNOW MY EXACT MEASUREMENTS?
No. If you know the exact measurement you want, perfect — add it to the Alterations tab in your cart.
If you don’t, you can simply explain what you’re trying to achieve, for example “I usually wear a 28-inch inseam” or “I’d like the sleeves around 2cm shorter”. If anything is unclear, we’ll email you before making the change.
WILL AN ALTERATION MAKE MY ORDER TAKE LONGER?
Most straightforward alterations can be built into the normal making process, so they shouldn’t add much time at all.
More involved requests can occasionally need a little extra work. If we think your alteration is likely to affect the normal lead time, we’ll let you know rather than leaving you guessing.
WHAT IF MY PIECE NEEDS A REPAIR RATHER THAN AN ALTERATION?
Just get in touch. The lifetime guarantee is there to help keep Glorydays pieces in use for as long as possible.
Send us a couple of photos and a short explanation of what’s happened. Because the same small team makes the garments, we can assess what can realistically be repaired here in the studio and work out the best next step with you.
