GLORYDAYS / LEGAL

LIFETIME GUARANTEE TERMS

Last updated: 5 September 2026

These terms explain the additional Lifetime Guarantee provided by GLORYDAYSCLO LTD. The guarantee is provided at no additional cost and is in addition to your statutory consumer rights. Nothing here limits or replaces any rights you have under applicable consumer law.

1. Who the guarantee applies to

The Lifetime Guarantee is available to the original purchaser of an eligible Glorydays garment purchased directly from Glorydays. It is personal to the original purchaser and is not transferable when a garment is sold, transferred or otherwise passed to another person.

Reasonable proof of purchase may be requested. This does not necessarily need to be the original receipt; an order number, account details, email address or other reasonable evidence of purchase may be sufficient. The guarantee applies retrospectively to eligible genuine Glorydays garments previously purchased by their original purchaser.

2. What products are covered

The guarantee applies to garments manufactured by Glorydays. It does not apply to gift cards, third-party products, products not manufactured by Glorydays, counterfeit products, wholesale or other business-to-business purchases, or garments supplied primarily for commercial, uniform or professional use under separately agreed terms.

Garments that have been materially redesigned or unusually customised at the customer’s request beyond our standard alterations service may also fall outside this commercial guarantee. Any statutory rights relating to those goods or services remain unaffected.

3. When the guarantee starts and what “lifetime” means

The guarantee begins on the date the garment is delivered and continues for the reasonable usable lifetime of that garment. “Lifetime” does not mean the lifetime of the purchaser, nor does it mean that a garment or its materials can never wear out.

Different fabrics, components and garments naturally have different usable lives depending on construction, frequency of wear, care and use. There is no arbitrary fixed expiry date, but normal ageing and eventual wear are not manufacturing faults.

4. What the guarantee covers

The guarantee is intended to cover genuine problems with Glorydays workmanship, manufacture or construction, including failed stitching or seams, premature failure of buttons, zips or other hardware, construction faults, and fabric failure which we reasonably determine to be premature rather than the result of ordinary wear, damage or misuse.

Every claim is assessed individually because the age, materials, construction and condition of garments can vary considerably.

5. Our repair-first approach

Where a claim is accepted under the guarantee, our preferred remedy is to keep the original garment in use. Depending on the circumstances, we may repair the garment, carry out remedial alteration or construction work, replace a component, patch or reinforce an area, or use another appropriate repair technique.

This can include substantial repairs to much older garments where a practical repair remains possible. If repair or remedial work is not reasonable or practical, we may consider a replacement or another fair remedy. Glorydays will decide the appropriate remedy under this commercial guarantee after assessing the garment.

We do not guarantee that an identical replacement, fabric, colour or component will still be available. This does not restrict any remedy you may separately be entitled to under consumer law.

6. Normal wear and ageing

Normal wear and tear is not a manufacturing defect and is not automatically covered by the guarantee. This includes reasonable abrasion, fabric thinning, fading, worn cuffs or hems, naturally worn knees or seats, leather patina, colour change and other effects that result from normal use and ageing.

Natural characteristics of materials — including denim fading, leather grain and variation, fabric slubs, natural colour variation and reasonable shrinkage or ageing — are also not defects in themselves.

Even where an issue is not covered, you are still welcome to contact us. If a practical repair, patch or reinforcement is possible, we may offer to carry it out either free of charge or for an agreed cost depending on the circumstances.

7. Accidental damage and misuse

Accidental damage such as tearing, burning, snagging, staining, pet damage or other damage caused after delivery is not covered as a manufacturing fault. Damage caused by misuse, excessive or inappropriate use, or use substantially outside the garment’s intended purpose is also excluded.

We will still happily assess the garment and may be able to offer a repair. Where the issue falls outside the guarantee, a reasonable repair and/or shipping charge may apply and will be discussed with you before work begins.

8. Care of the garment

Damage caused or materially contributed to by failure to follow the garment’s care instructions is excluded from this commercial guarantee. This can include inappropriate washing or drying, bleaching, excessive heat, unsuitable cleaning products, improper leather treatment or other care that is inconsistent with the instructions supplied with the garment.

9. Alterations and modifications

Alterations carried out by Glorydays as part of our free alterations service do not invalidate the guarantee.

If a garment has been altered, repaired or modified by another person, the guarantee remains available except in relation to a problem caused or materially contributed to by that third-party work.

Material customer-requested redesigns or unusual customisations outside our normal alterations service may be excluded from this guarantee and assessed separately.

10. How to make a claim

Contact us at contact@glorydaysclo.com with your order number or other purchase details, a brief explanation of the issue and photographs where they are helpful.

There is no separate warranty company or complicated claims portal. Claims are assessed directly by the Glorydays team in Leeds. We do not promise a fixed response, assessment or repair timeframe because the work required can vary significantly between garments, but we will deal with claims as reasonably and practically as we can.

11. Sending a garment back to us

Please do not send a garment to the studio until we have confirmed the return instructions.

If a claim is accepted as covered by the Lifetime Guarantee, Glorydays will cover reasonable return shipping costs associated with the agreed guarantee remedy and reasonable shipping back to you.

Where we agree to carry out work that is not covered by the guarantee — for example accidental damage, normal wear or another discretionary repair — the customer will normally be responsible for shipping and any agreed repair costs unless we tell you otherwise.

International customers must contact us before returning a garment so that we can provide the appropriate shipping and customs instructions.

12. When a repair is not possible

We cannot promise that every garment can be repaired indefinitely. Severe damage, extensive fabric deterioration, unavailable materials, safety concerns or the physical limitations of a garment’s construction can sometimes make a satisfactory repair impossible.

If that happens, we will explain the position clearly and consider the available options on a case-by-case basis. There is no automatic entitlement under this commercial guarantee to an identical replacement, cash payment or store credit simply because a repair is not possible. Any separate statutory rights remain unaffected.

13. Fraudulent or abusive claims

We may refuse a claim under this commercial guarantee where we reasonably believe the garment is counterfeit, the claimant is not the original purchaser, damage has been deliberately caused, information supplied is materially false or misleading, or the garment cannot reasonably be verified as an eligible Glorydays product.

We may also refuse repeated or abusive use of the guarantee that falls outside its intended purpose. Nothing in this clause permits us to refuse or restrict a valid statutory consumer right.

14. Territorial scope and statutory rights

The Lifetime Guarantee is available to eligible original purchasers worldwide, subject to these terms and any practical or legal restrictions affecting the return of a garment to the UK. Customers outside the UK should always contact us before shipping a garment back.

This commercial guarantee does not affect rights you may have under the mandatory consumer laws applicable to your purchase.
